St. Dominic’s roots extend to 1929, when Assumption High School opened in O’Fallon. In 1962, the Archdiocese of St. Louis established St. Dominic as a regional high school serving St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties.

Our name honors St. Dominic Guzman, patron of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill who answered Cardinal Ritter’s call to lead the school. Longtime librarian Sr. Jeanne Margaret Stoltz, OP, was the final Dominican sister to teach at St. Dominic, retiring in 2009.

The current St. Dominic Drive campus opened in 1963, with major additions in 2000, 2005 and 2010. Today, our campus, spans 50 acres, with 159,000 square feet of educational facilities.

Mission

St. Dominic is a Catholic, college preparatory high school offering young men and women an education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Living the Dominican tradition of prayer, study, community and service, we encourage lifelong growth in faith, knowledge and leadership and involvement in the global community.

Purpose

Our Catholic faith is at the core of our identity at St. Dominic High School. In addition to our four-year religion curriculum and seven faith-based student organizations, the student body regularly participates in Masses, Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation services and retreats.

Quality

As a comprehensive, college preparatory Catholic high school, St. Dominic fosters the growth and long-term success of every student, regardless of academic ability. Our engaged, caring faculty is personally invested in each student’s academic achievement. St. Dominic’s college preparatory curriculum and block schedule format allow classes to dive deep into content each session and help prepare students for college studies.

Dynamic Community

St. Dominic High School is more than a school; it’s a family guided by the four Dominican Pillars of prayer, study, community and service. Our 44-acre campus is our second home. Here, you’ll find caring friends and supportive faculty who will walk with you as you grow in faith, challenge your mind, nurture friendships and prepare for the next steps in life. At St. Dominic, you won’t be another face in the crowd… you’ll be a member of the St. Dominic family.
